WASHINGTON, June 23 – Coalition to Save Local Businesses Executive Director Michael Layman released the statement below following today’s passage of the U.S. Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee bill, which included a provision to block federal agency investigations based on an expanded joint employer standard:

“Our small business members thank Chairman Roy Blunt (R-MO) and the Senate Labor-HHS Subcommittee members for working to preserve the long-standing, successful ‘joint employer’ standard. Local business owners need champions on Capitol Hill, and today the subcommittee approved a bill that provides an appropriate check on the joint employer activism of the unelected bureaucrats at the National Labor Relations Board.”
